Bryce Norris set to embark on diverse 410 Sprint Car schedule
Veteran crew chief Rob Hart is also a part of Norris Racing
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (Mar. 14, 2024) – Seventeen-year-old Bryce Norris got a taste of the competitive world of 410 Sprint Car racing during a busy 2023 campaign.
Now, he and his Norris Racing team are set to traverse the country in the 410 ranks as they take part in a wide variety of events with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series, High Limit Racing and others this season. In addition, the team will campaign its No. 37 machine on the full schedule of the fledgling Maverick Winged Sprint Series in the Midwest.
“Sprint Car racing is one of the toughest and most demanding types of motorsports,” Norris said. “I know it won’t be easy, but I’m looking forward to the challenge of showing what I can do against the best of the best.”
Norris grabbed a pair of victories in the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car ranks last year. Those triumphs came at Bloomington (Indiana) Speedway and I-69 Speedway, located in Gas City in in the Hoosier State. Norris has found plenty of success in 305 Sprint Car classes for several years, but as his experience has grown, he is primed to take several steps up the ladder.
As he climbs, he’ll be guided by veteran crew chief Rob Hart. Among the drivers with whom Hart has worked are Kerry Madsen, Kevin Swindell, Joey Saldana, Shane Stewart, David Gravel and a host of others.
“Rob has been all over racing for 40-plus years and worked with some of the top drivers in the world,” Norris said. “His experience and advice is going to be invaluable.”
Norris is also a junior at Terre Haute South Vigo High School. The youngster focuses on his schoolwork first with racing as his release.
The 2024 season will kick off for Norris with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint Series in the tour's opener at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa). The two-day co-sanctioned event with the MOWA Sprints begins on Friday, April 5th, and wraps up with Saturday's $4,000-to-win finale.
